The New Single Is The First From The Legendary R&B Crooner Since 2020’s Bad Habits
The incomparable Usher is back with a new single called, “Glu.” The singer reunites with Lil Jon and Sean Garrett, who worked with him on his 2004 hit single, “Yeah!” Avila Brothers also shares co-production credit.
Usher‘s last single was 2020’s confessional record, “Bad Habits” where he sang, “I love love, I’m just bad at it/ I just can’t escape all of these bad habits/ I keep messing up my love life.” The single reached No. 1 at R&B Radio.
On the sexy new single, “Glu,” he sings of enjoying his partner’s love juices: “I just love that glue, ooh / That slides down you whenever we start touchin’ / It gets all on you, all on me from f**kin’.” Usher‘s last studio album was 2016’s ‘Hard II Love’ which peaked on the Top 10 Album Charts in the U.S., Australia, and the UK. His highly-anticipated ninth studio album is due out later this year.
“Glu” is currently available via all digitial streaming platforms. Additionally, Usher’s Las Vegas residency for his My Way show will continue to run through the end of October 2023.
