Raphael Saadiq Confirms Tony! Toni! Toné Reunion

Could it be that the wait is over?

Raphael Saadiq, the multi-faceted singer, musician, producer, music supervisor and former member of Tony! Toni! Toné!, has enjoyed a career that has spanned more than three decades! He has been successful as a solo artist, as well as with other groups that he’s formed, including Lucy Pearl, a group that he formed in 1999 which was composed of Saadiq, Dawn Robinson (formerly of En Vogue), and Ali Shaheed Muhammad (former of A Tribe Called Quest). Raphael‘s hits outside of “The Tonys” include “Dance Tonight” and “Don’t Mess With My Man” with Lucy Pearl and “Ask Of You” and “Be Here” ft. D’Angelo as a solo artist.

But it is Saadiq‘s hits with his original group Tony! Toni! Toné! like, “Whatever You Want,” “Let’s Get Down” and “Anniversary” that have left fans wanting more! While the group have been touring with  founding member Dewayne Wiggins along with Dyson Tate Riley and Frank Stickemz at the lead, it’s been several years since all three original members have performed together, but it appears that’s about to finally change!

In an interview with Sirius/XM’s “Sway’s Universe,” Raphael Saadiq  confirmed that Tony! Toni! Tone! will be reuniting for a tour!  There’s no word yet on any dates, but Saadiq shared that the group have been working on music throughout the last 15 years and may drop new music after his solo tour has concluded. Saadiq is currently touring in support of his newest album Jimmy Lee.” The album is named after Saadiq’s older brother who died of a heroin overdose years ago.
