The R&B icons are planning 30 U.S. shows and a Las Vegas Residency!
NEW EDITION members Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe and Johnny Gill have all signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) who will now be their official representation, according to a statement released this week. CAA will oversee the group’s music career to include “touring, theatre, literature, TV/Film, production, and composing,” the statement read.
Creative Artists Agency is also planning a residency in Las Vegas and a national, 30-date arena tour that the group will headline. New Editionhas released more than six platinum-selling studio albums that have included iconic hits, “Candy Girl,” “Mr. Telephone Man,” “Can You Stand The Rain,” and “If This Isn’t Love” to name a few. The Roxbury, Massachusetts natives are one of the most iconic and influtential groups in R&B music!
The group last came together to executive produce their biopic, The New Edition Story, which aired on BET Networks. The three-part miniseries documented the group’s rise to fame during the early 1980s. That same year BET honored the group with the BET Lifetime Achievement Award recognizing their oustanding accomplishments R&B music and entertainment.
