Ne-Yo never disappoints! And his latest confessional, “2 Million Secrets” is just more evidence of that fact! The addictive new song describes a toxic relationship between Ne-Yo and his supposed wife, where he hides a plethora of secrets and infidelities. He admits and owns up to his mistakes singing, “I’m drinking a little more frequent, smoking a little more lately / I kept 2 million secrets, and she’s got every reason to hate me/ cause I played with her heart / she got every reason to hate me / and it’s tearing me apart…“
The new single released via Compound Entertainment / Create Music Group Inc., was first previewed during Ne-Yo‘s NPR Tiny Desk Concert, He said to the crowd about the song, “This song is basically about owning your s—. That’s the best way I can put it. Nobody is above mistakes, nobody is above redemption, and you do better and you keep pushing.”
