The 50th Anniversary Edition of Marvin Gaye’s Iconic ‘What’s Going On’ Album Also On The Way
Super producer Salaam Remi has blessed us all with an early Christmas gift with the release of his new EP, Save The World: Remix Suite. The new EP contains Remi‘s remix of songs from the marvelous Marvin Gaye! Remi also created the beautiful cover art for the project!

As part of the ongoing celebration of the 50th anniversary of Marvin Gaye‘s iconic album, What’s Going On, Motown and UMe collaborated with the Grammy-nominated producer to release the project. The four-track EP contains Remi‘s re-imagined takes on “Save The Children,” “Sad Tommorrows, a holiday selection “I Want To Come Home for Christmas” and “No Need.”
Next year, on January 28, 2022, Motown UMe will release the original What’s Going On album. The 2LP, anniversary edition will include the main album mastered from analog for the first time since its original release, and an additional disc including all mono single mixes plus four rare cuts making their vinyl debut.
