Marques Houston Returns With New Album

Multi-hyphenate Marques Houston is back with a new album—his first in eight years!

The deeply personal new project is entitled, The Best, Worst Year Ever.  The singer, producer, screenwriter, and CEO of California-based film company, Footage Films shared music from the new project earlier this year to include singles,  “Admit It”, “Last Drop” and his latest single, “Cowgirl.”

The 14-track album features French Chevelle on the sexy, “Sweet Rain” where she also served as co-writer of the single; additionally, I RICH is featured on the song,  “Never Give You Up”. ‘The Best, Worst Year Ever.’ is released via Phoenix Music Group.  Houston shared about the album: “I wanted this album to reflect the tumultuous yet transformative year I went through. It’s about turning adversity into something positive and using music as a means to heal and inspire.”

An accompanying two-part documentary, The World of Marques Houston, will premiere in September.
