King Sis Shares Single “I Forgot”

R&B singer and songwriter, King Sis  just shared a new single, “I Forgot.”

King Sis began singing at the age of 7 in her grandfather’s church in Alexandria, VA—she was playing classical piano by age 8!  The rising star became interested in the recording arts after completing her first job at the age of nine, doing voiceover work for BET commercials.

In 2015, Sis won 1st place at Amateur Night at the legendary Apollo Theater in NYC, and it solidified her belief that she was born to perform. She moved to Los Angeles and later released her debut album, Ascension in 2021, with the deluxe version of the album following in 2024.

On her latest single, “I Forgot,” Sis reminds her lover that he’s been away so long that she’s forgotten the things about him that made her love him in the first place. She sings: “You want to pick up where we left off, but you’ve been gone away / You’ve been gone away so long / I forgot your middle name, I forgot your birthday/ You still wear cologne the same? / Loved it in the worst way,  you’ve been gone away / Since you’ve been gone away so long, I forgot.”

The new single, “I Forgot is released via Epidemic Sound.
