The R&B Star Shares Her First New Single In Seven Years
Kelis has returned with a new song and video called ‘Midnight Snacks.’
We haven’t heard new music from Kelis since her 2014 album entitled, Food. The “Milkshake” singer shared that the new single was inspired by the connectivity she feels between food and sex.
She shared about the new song: “I heard the beat, thought it was dope, and the first thing that came to mind was ‘Midnight Snacks.” I was like, ‘It makes you feel like a midnight snack!’ And that was it. It’s funny to me, but I like the fact that you can take sex and food, and you can put these two things together, and they’re totally interchangeable. I love that.”
The song was produced by Fanatix. The visual for the new song was directed by Adrienne Raquel.
