June Ambrose Named Creative Director at PUMA

The celebrity style icon will create a women and girls collection

PUMA have announced a new partnership with legendary celebrity stylist and style architect, June Ambrose.  With a career spanning more than two decades, Ambrose is responsible for some of the most iconic looks in Hip Hop; most notably, the famous glossy patent leather “Michelin Man” suit she styled Missy Elliott in for her “The Rain” music video.

The award-winning costume designer, stylist, author, and creative director has dressed everyone from the fashionable Misha Barton to Diddy, Mariah Carey and Will Smith! She also serves as stylist to her friend rapper and business mogul, Jay ZAmbrose is responsible for Jay‘s dapper look for his 2013 Vanity Fair cover and spread.

June Ambrose is set to advise and design across multiple categories as Creative Director.  She will be responsible for creating a women and girl’s Puma Hoops and Title Nine collection.  Ambrose is also expected to consult around social impact, youth empowerment, and gender equity issues.

The connection between style and sport is timeless and it’s something I’ve always wanted to put my spin on,” Ambrose said in a statement. The June Ambrose x Puma collections are set to be released in 2021.  Love this lady, and I’m so proud of her!  Congratulations, June!
