Singer, songwriter and recent New York Times Best-selling author, Joanna “JoJo” Levesque has released the visual for her latest single, “Porcelain.”
JoJo samples Uncle Luke and 2 Live Crew‘s “I Wanna Rock” on the new anthem about growth. The sings: “I don’t know what’s coming over me /Took a look into the mirror found clarity / The moment I got rid of everything I realized that I was my worst enemy/ I had to break it, And rearrange it, And turn into a beautiful mosaic / I saw a problem I had to change it / I left my sadness in fragments Porcelain, Porcelain.”
The motivational new single was released via JoJo‘s own independent label, Clover Records. She told PEOPLE Magazine about the new single, “I’d been looking at pictures of the Japanese art of kintsugi, which is when broken pottery is repaired with gold, silver, or platinum,” she explains. “It struck me how so many of us are walking around like human kintsugi, imperfect and put back together even more beautifully after being broken.”
In addition to new music, JoJo recently released a memoir titled, Over The Influence that instantly became a New York Times Best Seller. The book has been described as a raw and uplifting journey of resilience and self-discovery.
