Jodeci Signs New Deal and Plans Return

The R&B Quartet Has Signed To Michael Paran’s P Music Group

The members of one of the most iconic R&B groups ever, Jodeci, consisting of Cedric “K-Ci” Hailey, Joel “JoJo” Hailey, Donald “DeVanté” DeGrate, and Dalvin “Mr. Dalvin” DeGrate are planning their return with a new approach to their career.  The group recently signed with Michael Paran’s P Music Group label, and are expected to release new music.  Their debut album Forever My Lady  released in 1991, charted at No. 1’s on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, followed by Diary of a Mad Band in 1993 and The Show, the After Party, the Hotel in 1995— each album was certified platinum.

“During the pandemic, the guys started reaching out to each other and began talking about reuniting.  They’re ready to build something new, done the right way without continuing the missteps of the past. I want to be long-term with them and help them show the world that they’re back to begin a whole new era.”   – Michael Paran to Billboard.com

The group released its last album, The Past, the Present, the Future, in 2015.  K-Ci  Hailey and Mr. Dalvin both have expressed their excitement about the new partnership.  K-Ci shared, “I’m excited for Jodeci to join P Music Group with Michael managing us. We’ve come a long way. It’s a blessing to be back together and give our fans what they’ve been asking for.”   Michael Paran also represents  R&B legends Charlie Wilson, Johnny Gill and Jodeci group member K-Ci Hailey who inked a solo deal with P Music Group in 2019. Mr. Dalvin said of the new opportunity, “Michael is a man with a plan, a vision and a mission.  We’re looking forward to a great partnership.”

Many of us have missed the group from North Carolina who brought us memorable hits like,  “Come & Talk to Me,” “Cry for You,” “Forever My Lady” and “You and I.”   We are all excited for what’s to come.  Welcome back, Jodeci!
