R&B artist Jaz Karis returns with a bold and beautifully honest new single, “Alright” The song features fellow recording artist, Joyce Wrice and is available now via MNRK Music Group.
Built on a smooth mid-tempo groove, “Alright” finds Jaz at her most self-assured, confronting emotional imbalance with poise and calm confidence. Her vocals glide over sleek production as she calls out double standards in love, singing: “How can you do what you do but you don’t want that from me?” The track unfolds like a candid conversation between two women who know their worth.
The new single follows Jaz’s release “Easy” featuring Joshua Baraka. “Alright” is scheduled to appear on Jaz’s forthcoming EP Loud in the Water, which drops on October 24 and is currently available for pre-order. The project showcases the singer’s evolution as both a songwriter and storyteller.
Jaz shares about her new single,“‘Alright’ : It’s [the song] is really about standing in your own truth and knowing your worth. Sometimes love isn’t balanced, and that’s okay. You can still be free, confident, and at peace with your choices. Working with Joyce on this track made it feel like we were telling a story that’s honest, fun, and real.”
