The A+E Networks brands will simulcast JANET across two nights in 2022
Global icon, Janet Jackson is the latest celebrity to get a documentary chronicling her more than 35 year entertainment career. The two-night, four-hour documentary will follow Jackson’s musical successes, as well as devastating events including her ‘wardrobe malfunction’ that took place during her televised performance with Justin Timberlake for Super Bowl XXXVIII and the losses of her father, Joseph, patriarch of the Jackson family; and of her brother, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Jackson will also touch on her journey of motherhood to her 4-year old son, Eissa.
JANET will air in early 2022 on Lifetime and A&E, two of A+E Networks’ flagship channels. The documentary, co-produced by Workerbee and Associated Entertainment Corporation, will celebrate the 40th anniversary of her debut album, Janet Jackson, released in 1982 and promises to offer unprecedented access and an intimate look into the untold story of the star’s life.
Janet and Randy Jackson will join Rick Murray (Workerbee) and Brie Miranda Bryant (A&E) as executive producers for JANET. ▪
