The Haitian-American Singer, Songwriter and Record Producer Is Making His Mark

Josh X talks his hot new single, “I Miss You”

Josh X  is a proud, classically-trained singer, songwriter, producer, and artist developer who is creating his own blend of classical music with R&B. With a rare cosign from the one and only Stevie Wonder, Josh, whose real name Josh Xantus studied at the prestigious summer program at The Juilliard School and graduated from Five Towns College. Realizing that classical music just wasn’t in his heart, nor getting him attention from the ladies, he decided to pivot;  “by college, I knew I wanted to be a R&B singer,” he laughs.

With his musical background and ability to play instruments, it was at 13 years old when he created his first song.  He would later meet the legendary Jadakiss, eventually releasing their collaborative record titled “All For Love.” Since then, he’s worked with everyone from  Swizz Beatz to Birdman to chart topping Hip Hop artist, Cardi B.  In fact, Josh X was one of the first to ever produce the  “Bodak Yellow” singer!

“My mom being originally from Haiti, the thing she loved the most was classical music. My first influences were Mozart, Chopin, Bach, Beethoven.”

The two would go on to collaborate on her single “Selfish,” and with his single, “Heaven On My Mind”.  Josh’s latest single, “I Miss You” is #20 on the Billboard R&B UAC charts.  The trained Classical Pianist is in the studio adding finishing touches to his upcoming KSR/EPIC Records album release. The anticipated, “The X Project“ is scheduled to be released early 2021.
