I GO TO THE ROCK: The Gospel Music of Whitney Houston

On today, March 24, 2023, Gaither Music Group, Arista/Legacy Recordings and The Estate of Whitney E. Houston announced the release of the long-awaited project, I Go to the Rock: The Gospel Music of Whitney Houston.   The project includes a Gospel album featuring 15 tracks, including six never-before-released songs.  It will also include a documentary TV special, hosted by  Houston‘s friend and Grammy-winning gospel singer, CeCe Winans.  The show is produced by Barry Jennings, and will give viewers an indepth look at the  steadfast faith that Whitney held close to her heart throughout her lifetime.   It will also show Houston‘s first-ever performance in front of an audience, as well as other  appearances  where she performed gospel songs. 

Whitney‘s faith and deep love for gospel music profoundly influenced her life and career.  The  I Go to the Rock: The Gospel Music of Whitney Houston will air on UPtv and AspireTV networks, premiering Friday, March 24, at 8 p.m. ET on both. The special will also be available on DVD.
