Durand Bernarr Releases New Album ‘Bloom’

Cleveland-born songwriter and R&B star, Durand Bernarr has released his much-anticipated new album, BloomThe project was released via DSING Records/Create Music Group, Inc.

The Grammy-nominated artist has described the project as— “raw, sentimental, and completely unfiltered. At the heart, it’s an invitation to embrace every part of the journey.”  Bloom is Durand‘s third album, following his EP, En Route, which was nominated for Best Progressive R&B Album at the 67th Grammy Awards.

The son of sound engineer, Bernarr Ferebee who worked with Earth, Wind & Fire, Jill Scott and Jay Z among others, Durand had a front seat to what was required to make great music.  At 16 while serving as a production assistant to his Dad, he decided that music was also what he wanted to do with his life.

He has since released four full-length albums, including a Christmas album in 2012.  His new album, Bloom, includes 15 songs with features from GAWD on “Flounce” and T-Pain on the single, “That!

The music video for his latest single from the album, “Overqualified,” is directed by Joe Weil and includes cameos from Kid Fury, who portrays his therapist, JHart and Stevie Mackey.  Fans can catch Durand on the road starting  April 23 for his upcoming headling tour.
