Danny Boy Steward Returns With New Single “This Song”

The Former Death Row Records Artist Prepares for Release of New Album Black Heart (Chicago Creed)

Singer and songwriter  Danny Boy has been adding his smooth vocals to some of music’s biggest hits for more than 25 years!  He was signed to Suge Knight‘s record label Death Row Records in the 90’s where he can be heard on Tupac‘s hit songs, “Picture Me Rollin,” “Toss It Up” and “I Ain’t Mad At Ya” among others.  Steward also released a solo single, “Slip N’ Slide” which featured background vocals from R&B artist, Ginuwine  during his time of the iconic label.

“ [This Song] reminds me of the 90’s and a time when things were so good. When partying was amazing like block club parties, basement parties, and family parties. The lyrics exude partying; but with a peaceful, come togetherness; something that’s missing with today’s R&B.”
– Danny Boy

He also released a single entilted, “It’s Over Now.”  The songs were to be included on Danny’s solo album – to be the first R&B album on the label.  However, the album was shelved after Tupac was murdered in Las Vegas and Knight later landed in prison.

The  Chicago native teamed up with producer Fred “Toxic” Taylor and composer, Bryson Dorris for his new single, “This Song.”  The singer describes the new song as music that “takes you back to old school R&B where the lyrics were relatable.”  The song is set to be featured on Danny‘s forthcoming album, Black Heart (Chicago Creed) due in February 2023.
