We Take A Look at Some of Our Favorite Indie-Label R&B Songs of This Year!
Coming up with a list of only 20 of the most impactful indie R&B songs of the year, seemed nearly impossible! There was so much great music released this year. Several artists made their returns after a long hiatus; one such artist being Danny Boy Steward. The former Death Row Records artists lent his vocals to some of the biggest Hip Hop songs of the 90’s including Tupac‘s hit, “I Ain’t Mad At Cha.” Steward released the classic R&B, Chicago-steppers groove, “This Song” to the fans delight! It was evident that the talented singer has not missed a beat in the more tan two decades since his last release. Additonally, a number of new artists came onto the scene this year with impressive R&B music including, Kendy X with her single, “Options” and K. Lanoire with “Love Language,” to name a few.
Additionally, quite a few R&B veterans retuned with indie-label projects this year including Nivea who released the beautiful single, “Virginia.” With so much great music out there, narrowing it down to two dozen songs was quite the task!
