Amerie Returns With New Single “Mine”

Singer-songwriter, entertainer and author, Amerie is back! Her new single, “Mine“ has only reminded many of us what we’ve been missing since her last release six years ago. “Mine” is Amerie‘s first release since her dual EPs, 4AM Mulholland and “After 4AM, released in 2018.

Produced by Troy Taylor, and co-written by she and Taylor, “Mine” is a romantic ballad of a woman determined to have the one she loves: “Something about you babe, I’ll make you mine / I’ll make you mine / Don’t want no one else / I’ll make you mine/Only you…,” sings Amerie.

The duo first recorded a track called “Undeniable,” that they shared via Instagram.  Taylor shared about working with Amerie: “Working with Amerie is amazing because she is invested in every note, tone, expression, harmonies and adlibs that comes out. She locks in and is dedicated till the end of the song.”

The Grammy-nominated singer is also gearing up to release a new album this year—her first studio album since 2009’s In Love and War. Additionally, this summer she will release her first novel,  This Is Not a Ghost Story, via William Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers.

Amerie‘s new single, “Mine” is released via her  indie label, Amerie Inc.  The single is currently available via all digital streaming platforms.
